The Malla Reddy Dental College for Women and the Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences, both located in Hyderabad, Telangana, were newly granted Deemed-to-be University status in 2025, bringing the total count to 34.
Among all states, Tamil Nadu has the highest number of deemed dental colleges, with a total of 9 institutions, followed by Maharashtra with 7 deemed dental colleges.
Currently, the total number of BDS seats across these deemed universities is 3,290, all of which are filled through All India NEET UG MCC counselling. For postgraduate studies, 1,110 MDS seats are available across these institutions and are included in the All-India MDS seat matrix released by MCC.
